昨天，川普总统在CPAC（保守政治行动会议）年会上诗兴大发，当场朗诵他最为钟意，而且在2016年竞选期间也多次朗诵的寓言：“农妇与蛇”。



I saved you, cried the woman. And you’ve bitten me, heavens why?

（妇人哭泣着：我救了你，你为什么还咬了我，天哪？）

You know your bite is poisonous and now I’m going to die.

（你知道你的咬伤是有毒的，现在我要死了。）

Oh, shut up, silly woman, said the reptile with a grin.

（哦，闭嘴，傻女人，蛇贼笑着说。）

You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in. [ Applause ]

（该死的，在让我进来之前你就知道我是一条蛇。[掌声]）

And that’s what we’re doing with our country, folks. We’re letting people in. And it is going to be a lot of trouble. It is only getting worse.

以前竞选期间朗诵“农妇与蛇”时，川普从来没有说明他只针对“非法移民”。昨天他怕台下观众听不懂，特意说明他指的就是移民：

"So this is called, this is called 'The Snake' and think of it in terms of immigration. And you may love it or you may say, 'Isn't that terrible.' And if you say, 'Isn't that terrible,' who cares?"

（他补充说：“这就是所谓的'蛇'，把它作为移民来设想一下吧。你可能会喜欢它，或者你可能会说'这不可怕吗？'，'这不糟糕吗？' 谁在乎？“）
