The USS John C Stennis (CVN74), one of US Navy’s nuclear powered super carriers is now docked at Changi Naval Base. It is one of the largest class of aircraft carriers in the world.
The Nimitz-class nuclear-powered supercarrier arrived in Singapore for a port visit on Monday after operating in and around the Arabian Gulf the past five months.
20 stories above the waterline, the Stennis has mostly provided air support to allied troops on the ground in Afghanistan. Planes have flown about 1,200 sorties from the Stennis with more than 7,400 flight hours.
