日本民族也能够自由地, 自然地呼吸舒展，和其他民族一样，少被背后强权所扭曲左右！ The Japanese nation is also free to breathe naturally and, like other nations, less distorted by the power behind it!

Jackie说你们让我写政治, 有关中日关系的. 小时候认识日本，是看他们的“铁臂阿童木”，“龙子太郎”，“聪明的一休”，是看他们的“追捕”，国外亲戚回来带的礼品, 也是日本货. 日本在当时是唯一能跟西方平起平坐的亚洲国家. 那是七十年代，日本的电器工业甚至超越美国. 来美国以后别人都建议买日本车，亚洲人基本上都买日本货，更有台湾等哈日的民族. 看着！看着down town LA一座座高楼被日本人买走，以前的男友告诉我, 他们怎么样帮日本人规划，在美国投资办各种工业制造，汽车制造厂，电器等等.

Japan was the only Asian country that could stand on the same level as the West. It was in the 1970s, Japan’s electrical industry even surpassed that of United States. After coming here, all recommanded me buying Japanese cars. Asians basically buy Japanese goods, and even Taiwanese etc, following Japanese styles.  Looking at the high-rise buildings in down town LA,  Japanese keptbuying them. The former boyfriend even told me how they helped the Japanese plan and invest in various industrial manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, electrical appliances, etc. in the United States.

平心而论，日本人是幸运而且有智慧的 .说日本人幸运，那是以前大航海时期，日本没有成为任何国家的殖民地，所以日本民族性里边, 很少看见奴颜婢膝. 日本人一直比较傲慢顽强，比较硬，精神方面也是武士道，杀身成仁的. 日本人又是东亚国家中最早接触西方科学技术的国家，当中国的学校还在读四书五经的时候，清朝的皇帝还在学骑马射箭的时候，日本已经可以建造钢铁, 轮船, 大炮，甚至远飞巴黎, 德国学习飞艇, 飞机制造技术. 这不是一般的科学技术，日本人的智慧使他们能够生产出更好的产品，能够叩开中国腐败落后封建王朝的大门. 抛开甲午海战马关条约的屈辱，应该反省，为什么中国社会没有能够在明清以后，赶上科技进步的浪潮，迅速没落为二三流国家. 是文化的原因， 还是制度的原因？ 还是都有？

This was not a general science and technology, the wisdom of the Japanese enabled them to produce better products, able to open the door to China's corrupt and backward feudal dynasty. Putting aside the humiliation of the Sino-Japanese War and the Treaty of Shimonoseki, we should reflect on why Chinese society had not been able to catch up with the wave of scientific and technological progress after the Ming and Qing Dynasties nor quickly became a second- and third-rate country. Was it cultural or institutional? Or both?

如果中国也像当时的日本那样，赶上时代的发展，建立自己的强国，近代历史就会完全不一样. 说日本幸运，虽然日本是二战的战败国，但日本并没有受到像印度东南亚那样的奴役，因为美国是当时世界的超级霸权，就像在欧洲找臂膀一样，实用的美国人在亚洲找到日本，而且日本本来就有亚洲老大的野心，所以有了美日同盟. 说日本人智慧，战败国的日本并没有为其战争罪行进行赔偿，相反美国开放北美市场，而日本又及时赶上半导体科技的革新，革命浪潮，成为当时世界上电子控制的电器，汽车制造业的老大. 日本的专利，在世界各地横行，即使在现在，很多领域的电子产品高端的专利，都是在日本手里，作为制造业大国的中国, 也只能赚低端的利润. 这一点是很佩服日本人的. 这么一个缺少自然资源，地域狭小，又人口众多的国家.

If China was like Japan at that time, catching up with the development of the times and building its own strong country, the contemporary history will be completely different. On the contrary, the United States opened up the North American market,  Japan has caught up with the revolutionary revolution of semiconductor technology in time, becoming the world's electronic appliance, the boss of the automotive industry. Japan Patents are rampant around the world. Even now, many high-end patents for electronic products are in the hands of Japan. China, a big manufacturing country, can only earn low-end profits. I am very admirable for Japanese people, such a small country that lacks natural resources yet with large population.
