上面这些顶流的华人数学家还是缺乏重大原创，没有0--1的工作，多数是10--20的工作，极个别2--10的工作。这已经是华人数学天花板了。主要还是copying、跟风、在别人已有的框架内做点改进锦上添花，维持一下界面和秩序。当然这些工作总要有人做， 但好比音乐演出团体中的角色，不能大家都是鼓手吹号伴唱，也弄作曲家、几个指挥、第一第二小提琴主唱等。

帖子中有人质疑挂谷猜想被陶哲轩过度炒作，并且有个ubc的研究生声称是知情人士之一，他说论文中大部份工作是由zahl完成，特别是帖子中提到挂谷猜想以现代形式出现仅仅只有30年，这是什么意思？

目前来看，主要的公告、新闻稿和学术预印本都一致将王虹和约书亚·扎尔列为三维挂谷猜想的共同作者和共同解决者 ，何来主要工作是Zahl完成一说？

他俩主要论文题为《凸集并集的体积估计与三维挂谷集猜想》 ，一共127页的实质性预印本 。22年他俩人还共同撰写了关键前置论文《粘性挂谷集与粘性挂谷猜想》（"Sticky Kakeya sets and the sticky Kakeya conjecture"）

拉里·古思在他的介绍其证明的综述中，明确感谢“王虹和约书亚·扎尔就这些想法进行的许多有趣的对话，以及对本综述提出的一些有益评论” 。这表明即使在预印本提交之后，他们仍在进行深入的持续合作。

没错啊，主要完成人确实是zahl，很多人只看到了王虹，其实约书亚扎尔在多年前就独立研究了三维挂谷的很多问题了，并且发表了论文，都是个人独立杰作，而王虹都是和别人合作为主；



其次，就算真是独立完成的也没啥好夸大的，近来网络上地摊自媒体都在吹嘘王虹会获菲尔兹奖那是想多了，三维挂谷在数学中地位低得很，远没国内吹嘘的那么夸张，经典调和分析的框架主体基本已经成型了，所谓的四大猜想完全就是边角外围挤牙膏而已，最多起到修补作用，对主体远没那么大影响；



作为外围修补的四大猜想，Kakeya猜想、restriction猜想、Bochner Riesz猜想、local smoothing猜想这几个，挂谷猜想的地位还是最低的，这几个猜想是递进关系，Kakeya猜想仅仅是后三个的必要条件之一但还不充分，所以即便是突破挂谷猜想距后三个的解决还很遥远



况且王虹和zahl解决的还只是三维挂谷而已，距离真正的挂谷猜想还有距离，综合而言，三维挂谷在数学界地位没那么大；



包括近期那个邓煜，也被夸大的完全不着边了，邓煜根本没有解决希尔伯特第六问题，解决的仅仅是个引理方程而已，而且这方程国际上早就有人做出来了，就是法国刘维尔方程的类似版而已，不是原创，没自媒体夸大的那么神奇！
