成千上万名美国人预计将在今年假期季后面临裁员影响。裁员可被视为企业如何看待经济逆风的信号，也可能源于重组或利润最大化计划。根据Challenger, Gray & Christmas公司2025年12月的报告，2025年全年裁员人数已超110万。
《工人调整与再培训通知（WARN）法案》要求雇主在大规模裁员前提前60天发出通知。
据法律援助工作组织解释，大规模裁员界定标准为：30天内裁员至少50人，影响三分之一劳动力，或任何企业在30天内裁员500人。如果工作场所关闭且30天内裁员至少50人，同样构成大规模裁员。
