洛杉矶今天晚上21时09分 发生5.1级地震 随后发生余震3.4级地震 。在发生5.1级地震之前的约一个小时也发生了一次3.6级的地震。

文学城网站各大生活论坛洛杉矶网友均表示 这次震感很强烈但有些网友称他没有感觉到地震，还有网友称他家的游泳池的水震后十多份钟还在晃动，有网友估计此次地震应该会在5级以上。更有网友称以后不敢在LA买房子了。还有网友称他家这片没电了。

洛杉矶有两个地震隐患，一是圣安第斯断层的南段，这里已有300年没有发生地震了。这个断层的地震周期平均为200至250年，所以说它已经超期了，随时都有发生7到8级地震的可能;另一个隐患是洛杉矶下面的朋地岗(Puente Hill)断层带，其中包括华人密集的圣盖博谷。这个断层在过去1.2万年当中共发生过6次7级以上的地震，平均周期是2000年，距离今天最近的一次地震就在2000多年以前。所以，洛杉矶居民面临着两个强震的威胁。
根据专家的评估，这两场地震如果发生，它将给洛杉矶地区造成2500亿美元的损失。鉴于洛杉矶大部分房子都是80年代以前建造的，抗震标准只有6.5级，加上常年失修、老化，如果发生7级以上的地震，所造成的破坏将非常惨重，它会让整个洛杉矶陷入瘫痪状态。

The Los Angeles Fire Department said it is going into emergency mode and looking for signs of damage or injuries.

The newspaper reported the epicenter was one mile from Brea, three miles from Rowland Heights, and three miles from Fullerton. In the past ten days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
