During the Three Kingdoms Period, Sun Quan of Kingdom Wu arranged a honey trap for Liu Bei with Zhou Yu because Liu had occupied Jingzhou (the important city connecting Wu and the west of the mainland) and refused to return it to Kingdom Wu. Sun Quan pretended to marry Sun Shangxiang with his younger sister and cheated Liu Bei into crossing the river as a hostage to claim Jingzhou. Unexpectedly, this plan was discovered by Zhuge Liang. Zhuge Liang ordered Zhao Yun to protect Liu Bei on the way to the Kingdom of Wu.
